Harud – Gathered Dress Mustard Machi Buti

A happy fit-and-flare silhouette in a tender mustard hue, just between the shades of a leaf that has lived its life, and another one just waiting to bloom. This soft handwoven Jamdani, has tiny butas in happy blues, pinks, greens smeared all over. There are delicate frills on the neckline, alongside the knots at them subtly billowy sleeves. Added to it is threadwork detailing along the hemline, neckline and cuffs of the dress. Comes with pockets and attached mul lining. In our quest for beauty in change, we came across a very beautiful expression from Kashmir, ‘Harud’. Meant to describe the autumn at Kashmir, it is, precisely, when hundreds of years old chinar trees begin turning beautiful hues of golden brown during the months of autumn.
